About the role
- Identify and analyze critical new business development opportunities
- Develop and execute capture/growth strategies
- Build the right team and solution
- Influence stakeholders and customers to win new contracts
- Drive all capture and BD lifecycle opportunities
- Conduct independent research on market trends and customer needs
- Analyze competitive Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of business development initiatives within the Aerospace and Defense sector
- Prepare and deliver strategic business proposals and presentations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
- 13+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders
- Working knowledge and experience with engineering support acquisition organizations
- Experience developing account plans and capture plans for new business opportunities
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, Foreign Military Sales, and/or US Military
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
