Lead and mentor a team of buyers, subcontracts management specialists, and category leads
Continuously improve the supply base to support program and business area requirements
Develop and implement strategic material plans and forecasts
Partner with executive management, program management, and other departments
Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve supply chain risks and issues
Lead the discovery and implementation of new technologies and processes
Establish, track, and communicate key performance indicators
Prepare and manage capital, contract equipment, and facility requests

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field
9+ years of experience in operations or a related area
In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain principles
In-depth working knowledge of Commodity, Category and Sourcing Management
Background in manufacturing timelines and requirements
Ability to read and understand technical requirements
Excellent negotiations skills
Candidate must have Supply Chain Management skills
Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
Professional certification such as CPSM or CPIM preferred
Experience working in Supply Chain supporting government contracts preferred
Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DFARS compliance preferred
Experience with major ERP and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) / Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems preferred
