About the role

  • Responsible for providing legal advice and consultancy to the internal business areas of the Sicredi Administrative Center (CAS), located in Porto Alegre (POA), including support to Centrals and Cooperatives;
  • Draft and review contracts, partnerships, agreements and other administrative and commercial instruments of Sicredi, ensuring compliance with current regulations and market best practices;
  • Prepare legal opinions, studies and guidance in areas of responsibility, especially those related to the creation of new products and the review of existing products, including legal, regulatory and normative impacts;
  • Provide legal support and advisory on matters related to business, products, services and financial and non-financial transactions;
  • Assess and monitor legislative changes and regulatory impacts on Sicredi’s activities and provide corresponding guidance;
  • Collaborate and work together with other internal areas and colleagues from the Legal Superintendency and Sicredi to add value to the business and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
  • Draft and review internal policies, standards, trainings and procedures related to financial and non-financial business and products;
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional areas within Sicredi on projects, initiatives or any joint work fronts;
  • Prepare and deliver trainings in areas of responsibility;
  • Serve as a focal point for matters of moderate complexity;
  • Assist management in the development, implementation and monitoring of work plans and the review of management flows and processes.

Requirements

  • Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent);
  • Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB);
  • Postgraduate specialization/MBA in Business Law, Cooperative Law, Financial Markets or Banking, completed;
  • Experience working in in-house legal departments.
  • Preferred qualifications (differentials):
  • Established experience in legal advisory and consultancy applicable to financial institutions and cooperative societies;
  • Experience and knowledge in applying agile methodologies, legal design and visual law, as well as technologies such as AI applicable to the legal environment;
  • Master's degree in business, cooperative law, corporate law or financial markets;
  • Advanced or fluent English and training in Digital Law, Data Protection and Sustainability.
