About the role
- Acts as a point of contact for Associates on HR policies, ensuring interpretations align with both company culture and regional labor nuances.
- Manages requests from multiple stakeholders – often managing urgent priorities simultaneously.
- Assists with the administration of talent and performance initiatives, including the communication of processes, tracking key metrics, and creating reports.
- Supports HR leadership in documenting employee relations matters; assists the team in ensuring compliance with standards across regional offices.
- Partners with the team to design and implement engagement initiatives that resonate with in-person, remote, or hybrid employees (e.g., virtual team-builders or events).
- Participates in employment functions, including interviewing, recruiting, stay and exit interviews, etc.
- Participates in HR Divisional Projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including administrative tasks such as departmental filing, scheduling, and activity coordination, and occasional backup support for administrative functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional HR experience, ideally as an HR Business Partner or Generalist
- Basic experience with Human Resources Information Systems (e.g.; Oracle, iCIMS, Success Factors)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Ability to leverage company-authorized AI tools to enhance efficiency and creativity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders, from entry-level to leadership
- High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential Associate information with total professionalism
- Exceptional time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks when requests come in from multiple managers simultaneously
- A global mindset with an interest in learning about international labor standards and diverse workplace cultures
- Must have the ability to travel between Shure’s Niles, Skokie, and Wheeling locations as scheduled
- Understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws.
