About the role

  • Performs all HR clerical functions and supports the daily operations of the Human Resources department
  • Processes staffing changes, new hires, and terminations
  • Assists with benefit enrollments and recruitment
  • Provides reporting support for Joint Commission readiness for HR Standards
  • Coordinates new employee orientation
  • Ensures all paperwork is complete to clear new employees to start
  • Maintains and distributes orientation packets and new employee files
  • Schedules and documents attendance for all new employees
  • Serves as a resource on employee benefits and retirement plans
  • Coordinates employee changes to benefits
  • Tracks progress of new employee evaluation process
  • Completes employee status change paperwork and computer data entry
  • Completes employee exit paperwork
  • Supports the employee recognition program
  • Maintains all employee files
  • Provides administrative assistance to HR team

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of Human Resources experience, preferably in healthcare environment
  • Experience using HRIS systems
  • Associate's degree in related field
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal with confidential information
  • Ability to communicate and interact with all members of the Shriners team in a professional and courteous manner
  • Innovative, self-motivated, and detail oriented
