About the role
- Performs all HR clerical functions and supports the daily operations of the Human Resources department
- Processes staffing changes, new hires, and terminations
- Assists with benefit enrollments and recruitment
- Provides reporting support for Joint Commission readiness for HR Standards
- Coordinates new employee orientation
- Ensures all paperwork is complete to clear new employees to start
- Maintains and distributes orientation packets and new employee files
- Schedules and documents attendance for all new employees
- Serves as a resource on employee benefits and retirement plans
- Coordinates employee changes to benefits
- Tracks progress of new employee evaluation process
- Completes employee status change paperwork and computer data entry
- Completes employee exit paperwork
- Supports the employee recognition program
- Maintains all employee files
- Provides administrative assistance to HR team
Requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- High School diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of Human Resources experience, preferably in healthcare environment
- Experience using HRIS systems
- Associate's degree in related field
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to deal with confidential information
- Ability to communicate and interact with all members of the Shriners team in a professional and courteous manner
- Innovative, self-motivated, and detail oriented
