About the role
- Provides evaluation and therapy services including direct patient care
- Patient/family education and transition of care in an efficient manner
- Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement plans of care
- Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through mentoring and providing education
- Supports ongoing development and improvement of the department through special projects and committees
- Responsible for professional growth and development through ongoing education and research
- Maintains current knowledge in changes related to scope of practice and compliant documentation
Requirements
- Current licensure by the California Board of Medical Examiners
- BLS certification
- Previous physical therapist clinical experience in pediatrics, orthopedics, spinal cord injury and burns preferred
