About the role
- Develop and maintain comprehensive training curriculum for products, procedures, and market positioning
- Deliver training through various modalities through in-person workshops, virtual sessions, cadaver labs, and surgeon-led programs
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Clinical, and Quality teams to ensure training content is clinically accurate and aligned with product strategy
- Establish and manage systems for tracking training participation, competency assessments, and performance metrics
- Maintain documentation of training according to regulatory and internal compliance standards
- Facilitate ongoing education and skill development
- Engage with orthopedic surgeons and key opinion leaders to support training initiatives and gather clinical insights
- Remain current on clinical practices through attending surgical procedures, labs, and industry conferences
- Provide feedback and coaching to sales representatives to enhance product knowledge and selling effectiveness
- Support cross-functional initiatives related to product launches, clinical education, and commercial strategy
- Travel up to 50% of the time, depending on needs and seasonality
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 5 – 10 years of experience in the orthopedic medical device industry required
- Strong understanding of shoulder arthroplasty procedures, instrumentation, and clinical workflows required
- Prior experience in medical device sales, sales training, clinical education, or product management required
- Demonstrated experience interacting with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals required
- Ability to clearly translate complex clinical concepts into effective training materials
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and training analytics tools
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
