About the role
- Strategic client consulting: You manage a portfolio of key accounts, analyze business and marketing objectives, and develop bespoke retail media strategies.
- Negotiation & closing: You independently conduct annual and intra-year commitment negotiations (including forecasts, deal structures, proposal design, and contract signing) through to successful completion.
- Campaign management with impact: Together with Campaign Management, you ensure that each campaign meets the branding and performance goals of your key accounts.
- Account growth & revenue development: You identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, develop new initiatives, and support your key accounts as a growth-focused partner.
- Data-driven insights & market feedback: You monitor the overall performance of your key accounts, derive optimizations, and actively incorporate your learnings into the ongoing development of our portfolio.
Requirements
- Sales experience in the media or e-commerce environment: At least 4 years of experience in Retail Media, Digital Sales, or Digital Advertising — with confident handling of onsite and programmatic formats (e.g., Sponsored Products, Display Ads).
- Negotiation skills at decision-maker level: Experience in annual agreements (JBP, tiers, rate cards) and a proven track record in budget negotiations and customer retention.
- Network competence & market understanding: You know the advertising market, are well connected in agencies or with brands, and understand (retail) media as a business driver.
- Analytical & entrepreneurial thinking: You act in a data-driven, goal-oriented way and understand KPIs as management tools.
- Team spirit & ownership mentality: You work independently, solution-oriented, and value close collaboration with Campaign Management, Data, Ad Tech, and Strategic Procurement.
- Languages: You speak German at C1 level and fluent English.
