About the role

  • Strategic client consulting: You manage a portfolio of key accounts, analyze business and marketing objectives, and develop tailored retail media strategies.
  • Negotiation & closing: You independently conduct annual and intra-year commitment negotiations (including forecasts, deal structures, proposal design, and contract closing) through to successful completion.
  • Campaign management with impact: Together with Campaign Management, you ensure every campaign meets your key accounts' branding and performance objectives.
  • Account growth & revenue development: You identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, develop new initiatives, and partner with your key accounts to drive growth.
  • Data-driven insights & market feedback: You monitor overall account performance, derive optimizations, and actively contribute your learnings to the ongoing development of our portfolio.

Requirements

  • Sales experience in media or e-commerce: At least 4 years of experience in retail media, digital sales, or digital advertising, with strong familiarity with onsite and programmatic formats (e.g., Sponsored Products, Display Ads).
  • Negotiation skills at decision-maker level: Experience with annual agreements (JBP, tiers, rate cards) and proven success in budget negotiations and client retention.
  • Networking ability & market understanding: You know the advertising market, are well connected within agencies or brands, and understand (retail) media as a business driver.
  • Analytical & entrepreneurial mindset: You act in a data-driven, goal-oriented way and view KPIs as management tools.
  • Team player & ownership mentality: You work independently, solution-oriented, and value close collaboration with Campaign Management, Data, Ad Tech, and Strategic Procurement.
  • Languages: You speak German at C1 level (business fluent) and are fluent in English.
