About the role

  • The Staff Revenue Data Analyst will join ShipBob's growing Revenue Operations team and be responsible for creating and maintaining Reports and Dashboard and doing various studies supporting strategic projects to support ShipBob's growth.
  • A successful Staff Revenue Data Analyst delivers strategic insights by defining and evolving KPI frameworks, enabling better choices across Sales, Marketing, and Finance. This role partners with management, mentors analysts, and plays a key role in scaling data-informed practices across the org. This role reports to Manager, Revenue Analytics.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable dashboards and reports in Power BI, enabling visibility into key revenue and operational metrics.
  • Write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, transform, and validate data across systems.
  • Identify trends, track performance, and recommend insights using a mix of analytics, statistics, and business context.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Ops) to understand business needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Manage enhancements to data infrastructure and processes to ensure data quality, accuracy, and accessibility at scale.
  • Leverage visual components in Power BI to enhance trend identification and quickly surface areas of concern, enabling faster, data-informed actions.
  • Become a subject matter expert on data sources and collection methodologies at ShipBob.
  • Define, monitor, and optimize KPI frameworks to support management choices.
  • Own the intake, resolution, and communication for ad hoc analytics requests via the ticketing system.
  • Develop and maintain dataflows within Power BI Service to streamline data processing, ensure data consistency, and enable scalable, self-serve reporting across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in Analytics or similar role.
  • Expert-level skills in SQL (queries, joins, CTEs, stored procedures).
  • Excellent proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Data modeling, Data flows, Power Automate).
  • Solid communication skills with the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Python for data wrangling or automation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data architecture, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with overlapping priorities simultaneously.
