About the role

  • The Vice President, Health System Experience is the senior executive responsible for shaping, elevating, and expanding Shields’ strategic relationships within designated health system partner accounts.
  • This role serves as the executive face of Shields to key partners and is accountable for delivering a world‑class partner experience, ensuring operational and contractual excellence, and driving long-term strategic growth.
  • The VP will collaborate closely with Regional Leadership and cross‑functional teams to align enterprise priorities, translate partner needs into actionable strategies, and ensure Shields is positioned as a trusted advisor to health system executives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of executive‑level engagement experience with health systems or hospitals, ideally in Strategic Accounts, Consulting, Enterprise Partnerships or Business Development
  • Proven success influencing and presenting to C‑suite executives (CEO, CFO, COO, CMO, CPO), including the ability to simplify complexity into compelling insights.
  • Exceptional oral and written executive communication skills—including executive briefing, negotiation, storytelling, and strategic framing.
  • Demonstrated experience operating in a matrixed organization, driving alignment across regional and enterprise-level teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and ability to understand health system economics and decision-making frameworks.
  • Ability to travel regularly to partner sites and internal meetings.
