About the role
- Provide leadership, oversight, and support for Rapid Re-Housing and Permanent Supportive Housing programs in Loudoun County
- Supervise a team of Case Managers and provide coaching and development support
- Support Case Managers in delivering complex case management and facilitate client appeals process
- Assist in development of termination plans and attend/facilitate client meetings
- Ensure services align with trauma-informed care, Housing First, and harm-reduction best practices
- Review documentation, data entry, timesheets, and conduct quarterly file audits
- Ensure efficient program operations, manage advertisement of openings, referral tracking, client lists, workflows
- Oversee program budgets, track spending, and ensure appropriate use of funds
- Complete or delegate assessments, approve requests for financial assistance per agency/state requirements
- Maintain communication with property management/landlords and conduct regular unit inspections per HUD standards
- Calculate client rental payments, track receipts, issue pay or quit notices per policy
- Hire vendors or report maintenance issues, maintain housing unit records, and fulfill on-call emergency duties
- Participate in inter-professional collaborative meetings, staff meetings, and training
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications (email, calendar, OneDrive, SharePoint) and exemplify Shelter House core values
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Development, or related field or commensurate experience to include supervisory/management experience
- 2+ years of human services or direct services experience
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound judgments
- Ability to advocate, assist in problem-solving, and achieve results for clients
- Comfortable with change and can adapt quickly
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must be able to work independently and autonomously
- Strong written communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation/ 20-25% local travel for appointments
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Preferred: A master's degree in human services or a related field
- Preferred: 2+ years of program and staff management
- Preferred: Experience leading/supporting programs serving homeless individuals, families, and/or victims of domestic violence/sexual violence
- Preferred: Knowledge of real estate, property management, and landlord tenant law
- Preferred: HQS inspection certification
- Preferred: Ability to speak a language other than English at a proficient level (i.e., Spanish, Farsi)
- Physical Requirements: Annual TB Test is required
