About the role
- Manage the service delivery team for Emergency Shelter, Drop-In Day Program, and Housing Services
- Ensure safe, efficient, and effective operation of all programs
- Develop strategies in collaboration with the Director to accomplish program goals
- Directly supervise Shelter, Drop-In Case Managers, and Housing Staff
- Ensure services are human-centered, trauma-informed, low-barrier, and aligned with the Housing First approach
- Ensure clients referred for services are assessed for eligibility and assigned to a case manager for services
- Participate in client meetings as needed
- Oversee delivery of regular programming for clients
- Advocate to partners, service providers, and government agencies on behalf of clients
- Conduct regular file reviews and ensure documentation compliance
- Track program spending and assist in managing program budgets
- Oversee administration of client satisfaction surveys
- Ensure data is entered accurately and timely
- Address client grievances and appeals
- Provide coaching and support to direct reports
- Design and implement in-service training for staff
- Assist in creating a professional environment and implementing policies for LHSC programs
- Network with other providers and attend community meetings as needed
- Verify and approve staff timesheets and leave requests
- Coordinate on-call service delivery team and help staff with crisis issues
- Proficiently operate Microsoft Office products and other office equipment

Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in human services/ related field or commensurate experience
- 1+ years of program and staff management
- Strong working knowledge of Rapid Rehousing and Supportive Housing best practices in addition to Housing First and Low Barrier philosophies and models.
- Strong public speaking and communication skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to be flexible, prioritize competing priorities and make sound judgments
- Valid Driver’s License
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed
- A master's degree in human services/related field (preferred)
- Experience leading/ supporting programs serving homeless families (preferred)
- Experience leading/managing in a residential environment (preferred)
