About the role
- The Application Engineer II is a mid-level engineer with established experience designing, configuring, and integrating enhancements into critical applications and reporting dashboards. This role focuses on improving data quality and reporting capabilities through advanced technical work, including AI and predictive analytics integration, and serves as a technical mentor to junior engineering staff. The Application Engineer II directly interfaces with government stakeholders to ensure that application support and solution delivery align with USACE mission requirements, security standards, and project schedules.
- The selected Application Engineer II will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: Design and integration of new features and enhancements into existing USACE applications and dashboards, including (but not limited to) RPM, QFIT, RW, and MSC reporting suites. Leading the implementation of reporting and application improvements, such as the integration of artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and advanced data modeling, to strengthen enterprise-wide data quality and reporting. Ensuring all developed solutions are fully compliant with USACE and DISA STIG requirements for secure system deployment; participate in routine audits and technical assessments as needed. Serving as a technical resource for government stakeholders, providing timely responses to reporting and application support requests within contractually defined timelines. Responding to break fix conditions of data sources and visualization capabilities.
Requirements
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
- Candidate must have a bachelor's degree
- Candidate must have eligibility to obtain/maintain position of Public Trust/NACI.
- Candidate must have at least 4 years of experience with the following:
- Software or application engineering, including direct support of dashboard and reporting solutions.
- Secure application development, enterprise application configuration, and data standards.
- Agile Software Development.
