About the role
- Maintain and increase Shaw’s profitability and market share in a geographical area.
- Develop good relationships with customers based on knowledge, service, trust, and integrity.
- Conduct daily sales calls on existing customers with emphasis on soft surface flooring products, samples, displays, adhesive, and related floor products.
- Present products to retail dealers, designers, and end-users.
- Analyze leads provided by corporate reports.
- Sell and construct display racks weighing 50lbs or more on a regular basis.
- Continually prospect for viable new accounts.
- Prepare business transactions and sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales.
- Communicate periodic sales reports outlining actual sales information and goals, competitive market conditions, and product needs.
- Analyze and control travel and entertainment expenditures as well as sample budget to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Enter all customer interactions and key information into Salesforce.com.
- Responsible for selling and promoting all residential products, including Shaw Floors, A/T, and Philly Commercial.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma/GED required.
- Previous sales experience required.
- Ability to interface with a diverse group of customers in a friendly and respectable manner.
- Ability to use a laptop computer and basic Microsoft Windows software including MS Office.
- Physically able to assemble and take down display fixtures.
- Ability to lift more than 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Must reside within Northern Virginia territory.
