About the role
- Own & Accelerate Retail Media Strategy
- Develop and execute comprehensive full-funnel media strategies across Target Roundel, Best Buy Ads, Kohl’s Media Network, and Canadian Tire TRM.
- Align media investments to new product launches, retail promotional calendars, category expansion initiatives, and annual sales objectives.
- Identify incremental growth opportunities through advanced audience targeting, seasonal programs, beta ad products, and data-driven experimentation.
- Manage and optimize a $30M+ annual retail media budget to maximize efficiency, ROAS, and sell-through.
- Drive Performance & Accountability
- Own performance measurement across key KPIs including ROAS, CTR, CVR, share of voice, and incremental sales lift.
- Continuously optimize campaigns through A/B testing, creative insights, budget reallocation, and performance diagnostics.
- Translate complex media data into clear business recommendations and action plans.
- Ensure retail partners do not become operational bottlenecks — proactively driving clarity, alignment, and accountability to protect business outcomes.
- Lead Cross-Functional Integration
- Partner closely with Account Management, Brand Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Social, Strategic Sales, Finance, and Analytics teams to ensure cohesive and strategically aligned media plans.
- Leverage SharkNinja’s social and demand-generation engines to amplify retail media effectiveness.
- Collaborate with agency partners to oversee campaign setup, trafficking, pacing, optimization, and reporting.
- Serve as the retail media thought leader within the organization, elevating best practices and driving innovation.
- Influence at Senior Levels
- Focused on Actionable results - Present strategic plans, performance readouts, and growth opportunities to senior internal stakeholders and external retail partners.
- Act as a success multiplier — ensuring retail media becomes a growth lever across categories and retailers, not just a cost center.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in retail media, performance marketing, or digital media strategy.
- Deep expertise across retailer media networks (Target Roundel & Best Buy Ads preferred).
- Proven experience managing large-scale media budgets ($10M+).
- Strong analytical mindset with fluency in performance metrics and retail measurement frameworks.
- Experience working cross-functionally within a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
- Ability to operate with urgency, ownership, and accountability.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and building structure where none exists.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
