About the role
- Sewage treatment assets - understanding our existing assets, completing risk assessments, undertaking outline designs for new assets to meet new business needs
- Support the Price Review regulatory submissions; collaborating across the business as we build our river quality, sustainability and net zero carbon plans
- Carry out self-led research on emerging technologies, to define new innovative treatment options and collaborate both internally and externally to promote new strategies
- Support with the promotion of our ongoing waste treatment capital maintenance programme; ensuring that we have robust evidence-based understanding of how our waste treatment sites work to ensure final effluent quality is maintained
- Support and advice to operational teams to maintain the availability and quality of our waste treatment services for our customers
- Ensure Health and Safety are built into the lifecycle of the design
- Identify and support with the review of potential delivery and operational risks e.g.H&S, environmental, commissioning through the design process
Requirements
- You’ll be degree qualified (desirable) and actively working towards incorporated or chartered status, a journey which we are keen to support you on.
- An engineering discipline would be required.
- You will have excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people.
- You will be forward-thinking, capable of anticipating challenges and responding to change in a rapidly evolving environment.
- A full UK driving licence will be required.
- Character, positivity and a caring attitude are valued equally with experience.
