About the role

  • Provide support to Senior & Principal Engineers to deliver project to programme
  • Work to agreed timescales
  • Take projects right through from project inception through optioneering, outline and detailed design and construction support.
  • Carry out self-led research on emerging technologies
  • Support and advice to operational teams to maintain the availability and quality of our water network services
  • Ensure Health and Safety are built into the lifecycle of the design
  • Identify and support with the review of potential delivery and operational risks

Requirements

  • Experience working with clean water networks
  • Understanding of CDM regulations in design process
  • Work to CDM 2015
  • Understand STW H+S standards
  • Be (or work towards being) principal designer
  • Design Clean Water Networks
  • Understand hydraulics within a water system
  • Understand pipe connectivity
  • Work with hydraulic Modellers to optimise designs
  • Design with carbon reduction in mind
  • Prepare Key Deliverable documents
  • Undertake site visits
  • Attend and input at site meetings
  • Engage & influence stakeholders
  • Engage in third party liaison
  • Work in a dynamic team
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Mentor team where appropriate
