About the role
- Provide support to Senior & Principal Engineers to deliver project to programme
- Work to agreed timescales
- Take projects right through from project inception through optioneering, outline and detailed design and construction support.
- Carry out self-led research on emerging technologies
- Support and advice to operational teams to maintain the availability and quality of our water network services
- Ensure Health and Safety are built into the lifecycle of the design
- Identify and support with the review of potential delivery and operational risks
Requirements
- Experience working with clean water networks
- Understanding of CDM regulations in design process
- Work to CDM 2015
- Understand STW H+S standards
- Be (or work towards being) principal designer
- Design Clean Water Networks
- Understand hydraulics within a water system
- Understand pipe connectivity
- Work with hydraulic Modellers to optimise designs
- Design with carbon reduction in mind
- Prepare Key Deliverable documents
- Undertake site visits
- Attend and input at site meetings
- Engage & influence stakeholders
- Engage in third party liaison
- Work in a dynamic team
- Work with minimal supervision
- Mentor team where appropriate
- Challenge standards
