About the role
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality solutions, including architectural system design
- Facilitate customer discussions to discover key business and technical requirements, and develop implementation plans based on the identified requirements
- Provide experienced guidance, feedback, and recommendations to customers based on established best practices
- Support the roll-out, adoption, and scaling of provided solutions for customers
- Handle customer engagements as a project manager, responsible for scheduling, coordination, communication, and enhancing the customer relationship
- Advice on internal tools and processes as a senior member of the technical team
- Promote yourself as a subject matter expert and valued member of the community
- Assist with proposal development and statement of work definitions
- Engage with potential customers on sales calls as a technical resource, advising on product solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related technical disciplines
- 3+ years of experience as an Atlassian Consultant, Atlassian Administrator, Jira Administrator, or similar position.
- Proven track record in implementing solutions, including installations, upgrades, migrations, workshops, integrations, and training for Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc)
- A successful history in customer engagement and demonstrated exceptional consulting and influencing skills
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to take a holistic view across a range of domains
- Demonstrated expertise in undertaking analysis, evaluation, and translation of customer requirements and feeding them into solutions
- Excellent communication skills, including workshop facilitation, written and verbal communication
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Proficiency in technical skills such as command line (preferably Unix), SQL, script development, software configuration, and other related technical skills
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, Groovy, Perl, Ruby, Shell Scripting, etc.)
- Familiarity with ITIL and ITSM principles
- Experienced in UAT testing and test use-case development
- Knowledge of cloud technologies
