About the role
- Develop and maintain test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
- Prepare UAT test cases, align them with business requirements, and conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders.
- Track test case execution and provide reporting.
- Use Jira to log and track defects.
- Develops and maintains requirements traceability matrices.
- Support the development team in dev, test, and UAT environments and troubleshoot defects as required.
- Work within an Agile/scrum team to deliver software release sprints with a focus on quality.
- Create and review performance testing scripts and review results.
- Coordinate UAT schedules, communicate progress to stakeholders, participate in test readiness, and provide go/no-go recommendations.
Requirements
- 8 Years Required
- Experience in writing and executing test cases, as well as creating test plans.
- Knowledge of software usability concepts and requirements traceability, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process.
- Knowledge of Xray Test Case management tool
- Knowledge and experience working with a scrum team in an agile environment to deliver software release sprints using Jira and SharePoint.
- Proficient in defect tracking and management using Jira and systematically log, categorize, and prioritize identified defects.
- Knowledge of SQL query writing to perform CURD operations.
- Experience in API Testing using Postman, SOAPUI, JMETER or similar.
- Experience working on different types of testing: unit, integration, regression, smoke, user acceptance, system, stress, and performance.
- Knowledge of code coverage tools, process or systems analysis, and design work.
- QA automation testing and scripting experience using UFT.
- Experience with creating and reviewing performance testing scripts and reviewing result.
- Ability to prepare UAT test cases, align them with business requirements, and conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Ability to support development team in dev, test, and UAT environments and troubleshoot defects.
- Ability to effectively work both independently and with sprint development team.
- Ability to communicate with varied levels of staff and end users.
- Ability to assist by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions about programs and handle multiple projects.
- Ability to accurately track time spent working on projects and estimate changes or enhancements.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming preferred.
- Experience working with the client agency and system preferred.
