About the role

  • Assist with the design, review, and implementation of Oracle OCI services and solution offerings.
  • Work with customer agencies, managed cloud suppliers, and internal agency teams to ensure architectures and environments provide efficient, effective, secure, and compliant solutions based on best practices and well architected frameworks.
  • Perform reviews of proposed changes & projects relative to security of an IT environment.
  • Implement, migrate, or manage operating systems/applications in enterprise cloud computing environments.
  • Create design documentation, diagrams, and review technical and fiscal accuracy of solutions.
  • Communicate and present solutions to address customer business needs.

Requirements

  • Assist with the design, review, and implementation of Oracle OCI services and solution offerings.
  • Work with customer agencies, managed cloud suppliers, and internal agency teams to ensure architectures and environments provide efficient, effective, secure, and compliant solutions.
  • Documented experience with cloud architecture, operations and management in OCI.
  • Experience performing reviews of proposed changes & projects relative to IT security.
  • At least 8 years of IT experience.
  • 3 years hands-on cloud technology experience (preferably OCI).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience implementing, migrating or managing OS/applications in an enterprise cloud environment.
  • College degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking architectures: virtual networks, VPN, subnets, network security groups, load balancers.
  • Cloud certifications preferred (OCI).
  • Familiar with Cloud Native architecture paradigms, patterns and security methodologies.
  • Experience designing solutions within and working with Oracle OCI environment.
  • Oracle OCI specific certifications (Cloud Ops, Architecture, Security, etc).
  • Experience creating diagrams and design documentation.
  • Ability to review technical solutions for technical and fiscal accuracy.
  • Skilled in oral and written technical communication.
  • Experience with security and regulatory frameworks: NIST, PCI, CJIS, FedRAMP.
  • Experience with cloud native technologies: containers, serverless, functions, DBaaS.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and under deadlines.
  • Experience with scripting/build tools: Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform.
  • Experience with configuration management and monitoring tools: Fleet Application Management, Puppet, OCI Monitoring, Splunk.
