About the role

  • Own and grow Seqana's commercial pipeline across the agrifood sector, from lead generation through to deal close
  • Identify, qualify, and engage prospective clients — including agrifood corporates, project developers, and supply chain sustainability teams
  • Develop a thorough understanding of clients' decarbonization needs and how soil carbon removals and insetting strategies can address them
  • Represent Seqana at industry conferences, trade fairs, and networking events to build brand visibility and generate leads
  • Collaborate with technical and product teams to shape proposals, scope projects, and ensure our offering meets client requirements
  • Contribute to commercial strategy by feeding market intelligence, client feedback, and competitive insights back to the leadership team
  • Support the development of sales materials, pitch decks, case studies, and other business development collateral
  • Help refine and communicate Seqana's value proposition to different client segments within the agrifood value chain

Requirements

  • 3 – 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles — in agrifood, sustainability, climate tech, or related sectors
  • An existing network of contacts in the agrifood or agricultural sustainability space
  • Understanding of scope 3 emissions, insetting strategies, and supply chain decarbonization in the food and agriculture sector
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as SBTi FLAG, LSRS, GHG Protocol, or CSRD
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders
  • Commercial instinct — you understand sales funnels, can prioritize opportunities, and know how to move deals forward
  • Excitement about sales and outreach
  • Willingness and intellectual curiosity to learn the complex technical fundamentals of soil carbon, MRV, and carbon crediting methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to distill complex topics for different audiences
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where priorities evolve and initiative is essential
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are a strong plus
