About the role

  • Responsible for operation of Sentry’s centralized Project Management Office and aligning PMO vision with organizational vision
  • Manage continuing development and implementation of PMO strategy and Project management lifecycle methodology
  • Oversee and lead project management staff; assign staff to projects based on skills and availability
  • Administer HR-related activities including performance and salary reviews and ensure adherence to HR policies
  • Select, develop, motivate, and recognize staff; determine outsourcing needs and select vendors
  • Participate in strategic project budgeting, cost-benefit analysis creation, and cross-project resource management
  • Manage the IT project pipeline to avoid bottlenecks and adjust project priorities based on business needs
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard processes and procedures (including SDLC, urgent project methodology, and quality assurance principles)
  • Develop and maintain standard project management tools (central project repository, time tracking, requirements database)
  • Mature a PMO practice for complex system development and business projects
  • Prepare formal proposals and recommendations; review project work plans and ensure appropriate project analysis steps are completed

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 8 years of related work experience
  • Degree in Information Technology, industrial engineering or project management (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a Project Management role
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role or training in supervisory skills beneficial
  • Analytical ability to research, develop and make conclusive decisions
  • Good human relations and communications skills
  • Organization, leadership, and people management skills
