About the role

Drive solid cloud architecture and ensure engineering best practices across multiple teams
Develop, improve, and maintain microservice-based systems and ensure seamless integration with Seismic platform
Collaborate with product leads, engineering leads, designers, and globally-dispersed teammates to build, test, and deploy code
Help grow and mentor a new local engineering team and guide technical and architectural decisions
Contribute to CI/CD, code reviews, bug/issue triage, documentation, troubleshooting, and continuous quality improvements
Explore new technologies and bring findings to life in products
Participate in operational excellence activities and maintain software quality

5+ years of software engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Minimum of 5 years of Software Development experience within a SaaS business
Strong familiarity with React or Angular or Vue and Javascript or similar object-oriented languages and frameworks
Data warehouse experience with Snowflake, or similar (AWS Redshift, Apache Iceberg, Clickhouse, etc)
Familiarity with RESTFul microservice-based APIs
Experience with the SCRUM and the AGILE development process
Familiarity and comfortability developing in cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)
Conversant in AI engineering; experience building AI solutions/integrations using LLMs, prompts, Copilots, Agentic ReAct workflows
Deep experience across multiple software projects driving end-to-end software development lifecycle of architecturally complex systems or products
Highly focused on operational excellence and software quality, with experience in CI/CD and best operational practices
Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to team problem-solving
Optional: Experience with HTML/CSS/JS and modern SPA frameworks (React Vue.js, etc.)
Optional: Experience with 3rd party integrations
Optional: familiarity with Meeting systems like Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams
Optional: familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Hubspot
