About the role

  • Strategic Commercial Leadership - Define and execute the commercial strategy for the AWS portfolio
  • Build, lead and develop a team of salespeople and pre-sales architects
  • Establish and monitor commercial team performance KPIs
  • Develop market-segment action plans (vertical/industry)
  • Deliver accurate forecasting and report to the executive board
  • Team and Performance Management - Recruit, train and mentor cloud sales specialists
  • Conduct regular pipeline meetings and opportunity reviews
  • Implement complex sales methodologies (MEDDIC, Challenger)
  • Develop individual development plans for team members
  • Manage compensation, incentives and recognition programs for the team
  • Business Development - Identify and prospect new opportunities in strategic accounts
  • Expand business in existing accounts (upsell/cross-sell)
  • Build and maintain C-level relationships (CIO, CTO, CDO)
  • Represent the company at industry events and technology fairs
  • Develop strategic partnerships with AWS and other ecosystem players
  • Pipeline and Results Management - Manage a multi-million-dollar sales pipeline
  • Ensure disciplined execution of the sales cycle
  • Negotiate complex contracts with legal support
  • Monitor competitors and adjust competitive strategies
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, or related field (MBA or postgraduate degree desirable)
  • Minimum 8 years in B2B technology sales
  • Minimum 5 years selling cloud solutions (AWS required)
  • At least 3 years in a commercial management role (coordinator, manager, director)
  • Proven track record of exceeding multi-million-dollar targets
  • Deep familiarity with the AWS portfolio and enterprise use cases
  • Experience with complex, long sales cycles (6+ months)
  • Knowledge of cloud pricing and licensing models
  • Familiarity with migration and digital transformation processes
  • Proven experience in consultative selling to C-level executives
  • Experience managing high-performance teams
  • Fluency in Portuguese and business-level English
  • AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect)
