About the role

  • Act as intermediary between funds and investment managers and serve as official record keeper for funds
  • Price and maintain timely records for hedge and private equity holdings using external pricing resources
  • Perform timely reconciliations regarding Net Asset Values and provide accounting reports
  • Communicate transactions associated with funds and provide accurate accounting packages
  • Coordinate and support year-end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP
  • Perform due-diligence to ensure client compliance with laws and regulations
  • Train and supervise accounting analysts on systems, processing, procedures, and responsibilities
  • Manage team environment encouraging self-motivation and organization
  • Review analysts' work for error-free reconciliations and reporting
  • Correspond with external investment managers regarding fund inquiries, reconciliations, deliverables, and escalations
  • Assist manager with performance appraisals, one-on-ones, career pathing, and analyst interviews
  • Partner with diverse team, attend professional development sessions, and identify process improvements

Requirements

  • BA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the fund services industry, alternatives experience preferred
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
