💰 £25,877 - £29,000 per year

About the role

  • Support a caseload of participants within a prison environment starting from initial engagement and assessment and continuing throughout their sentence
  • Provide motivational guidance and tailored support to help participants stay engaged, overcome personal challenges, and prepare for successful reintegration into the community
  • Deliver support through a mix of one to one sessions and group interventions with a strong focus on pre-release planning
  • Closely collaborate with volunteer peer mentors and/or mentors to manage caseload more effectively and connect participants with resources for housing, substance use, physical and mental health
  • Contribute towards a learning environment for all colleagues
  • Ensure effective case management and co-ordination of risk with a particular focus on safeguarding of adults and children

Requirements

  • Experience in probation services supporting individuals under supervision or on license
  • Experience in social care working with vulnerable adults or young people
  • Experience in prison or custody settings with a focus on rehabilitation or reintegration
  • Experience in substance misuse or mental health services involving motivational support or mentoring
  • Experience in community outreach and housing support
  • Recent graduates eager to gain experience are welcomed
