About the role
- Own customer billing & accounts receivable process: generating and sending customer invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, communicate to customers regarding billing inquiries and apply payments to customer accounts and ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare revenue month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and AR review, ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
- Develop, maintain, and update revenue accounting policies, memos, and process documentation in accordance with US GAAP.
- Support sales tax reporting and reconciliations by ensuring billed revenue, exemptions, credits, and adjustments are properly reflected and documented.
- Partner with Deal Management, Revenue Operations, the Partners team, and FP&A to ensure complete and accurate revenue system data.
- Drive system/process improvements, including NetSuite SuiteBilling and ARM configuration and enhancements to increase automation, quality, and speed.
- Own, maintain and enhance key revenue controls
- Support external audit activities by preparing revenue related documentation, responding to audit requests, and ensuring close documents are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or SaaS/software revenue accounting under US GAAP (ASC 606)
- Strong analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with NetSuite (ERP/ARM) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision-making
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- Big 4 or audit experience is a plus
- Located in the Greater Seattle Area
