About the role

  • Lead delivery of complex software and modernization projects built on Azure, across both backend and frontend technologies.
  • Oversee full delivery lifecycle from discovery and planning to deployment, QA, and support.
  • Manage cross-functional Agile teams, including software architects, engineers, DevOps engineers, and QA/Testing specialists.
  • Coordinate delivery across web and mobile applications, API services, databases, and Azure-native services.
  • Champion Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), enabling continuous delivery and iterative improvement.
  • Partner with architects and tech leads to ensure technical quality, security, and scalability of solutions.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with enterprise clients and act as the senior escalation point for delivery topics.
  • Drive resource planning and hiring strategy, ensuring team scalability and capability alignment.
  • Draft and manage Statements of Work (SOWs), delivery plans, and project financials.
  • Proactively identify delivery risks and manage mitigation strategies.
  • Support QA alignment and testing strategy—while not hands-on, a basic understanding of automated and manual testing workflows is a plus.
  • Advocate for best practices in software delivery, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud engineering excellence.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in delivery or program management within software engineering or digital transformation environments.
  • Strong background in delivering software products and services built on modern back-end (e.g. .NET, Java, Node.js) and front-end (e.g. Angular, React, Vue) technologies.
  • Experience leading teams across Azure cloud-native environments, including modernization or re-platforming initiatives.
  • Understanding of testing strategies (e.g. unit, integration, regression) for managing quality-focused teams.
  • Deep experience in Agile delivery frameworks, with proven success managing remote or distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD tooling, and modern software engineering workflows.
  • Experience working in or with staff augmentation delivery models.
  • Microsoft Azure certified. E.g. Azure Developer Associate or DevOps Engineer Expert.
  • Strong commercial acumen: managing SOWs, budgets, cost models, and project profitability.
  • Track record of high-quality stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
