About the role
- Float between SecureSpace locations in the San Jose, CA market and co-develop shift schedules with your team
- Exceed sales goals by promoting unit rentals, unit warranties, and moving supplies and garner positive reviews
- Guide and assist new customers throughout the rental process, ensuring smooth and seamless transactions
- Personally reach out to potential reservations to confirm moving dates and secure their storage unit
- Proactively manage past due tenants and handle paperwork associated with the lien/auction process (auctions online)
- Deliver exceptional customer service to existing customers and go above and beyond to meet their needs
- Conduct daily property walks to maintain security, cleanliness, and upkeep (check locks, clean units, restock supplies, perform light maintenance)
- Communicate results, updates, and recommendations clearly to the District Manager and Leadership Team
Requirements
- Ability to move about the entire 1-acre property (both indoors and outdoors) for customer tours
- Ability to receive, move and restock inventory in boxes up to 50 pounds (on occasion)
- Ability to position self for inspection and general maintenance tasks and perform light maintenance duties
- Ability to recognize potential maintenance, safety, and fire issues
- Ability to operate roll-up doors to storage units
- Willing to do some travel (on occasion) to another location for scheduled shifts
- Energetic, friendly, and ambitious self-starter yearning for career growth
- Flexible availability including weekends (office open on weekends)
- Ability to proactively manage past due tenants and handle paperwork associated with lien/auction process
- Strong customer service and sales skills to promote unit rentals, warranties, and moving supplies
- Effective communication with District Manager and Leadership Team
