About the role
- Provide medical assessment and management of newborns requiring neonatal intensive care.
- Implement standard treatment protocols and adhere to government healthcare guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pediatricians, nurses, and allied health staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document clinical findings and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with government facility policies.
- Communicate effectively with families to provide support and information about their newborn’s condition and care plan.
- Participate in training programs, workshops, and continuous professional development activities.
- Engage in public health initiatives and contribute to data collection and reporting as needed.
Requirements
- Medical degree with completion of a Pediatrics residency program recognized by government healthcare authorities.
- Basic Neonatology training or interest, with preference given to candidates who have completed or are pursuing fellowship.
- Experience or internship in a neonatal or pediatric setting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with government healthcare policies, protocols, and reporting procedures is preferred.
- Strong commitment to public service and delivering care to diverse populations.
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work within established systems and follow guidelines meticulously.
- Skills in documentation and record-keeping consistent with government facility standards.
