About the role
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads
- Travels to call on new and existing clients/customers
- Develops personal relationships with all areas of the client (Purchasing, Engineering, Mgt)
- Negotiates price, terms etc. with clients
- Communicates with clients/customers and new sales leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs
- Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to clients/customers based on their needs
- Ensures client satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise; communicates regularly with Inside Sales team to ensure client needs are met
- Maintains communication with existing and previous clients/customers alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest
- Meets with the President quarterly to present the status of the territory and to communicate marketplace trends such as technologies, competitors, and new products; maintains customer call reports, contacts and related customer information in SalesForce
- Works with Marketing to build the company brand and market territory
- Observes safety and security procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and at least five years of industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency working in a computer-supported environment using business software and Microsoft office programs
- Demonstrated sales, negotiation and presentation skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills
