About the role

  • Join our cutting-edge cleanroom fabrication team and play a key role in volume production of III-V active devices.
  • As a Laser Process Engineer, you will deliver volume capable processes for III-V semiconductor device fabrication.
  • Monitoring process performance, analyzing data, and implementing improvements.
  • Yield Improvement activities, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Develop project plans and collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional collaboration to meet laser performance and reliability targets.
  • Refining and scaling laser processes.
  • Delivering volume capable processes including robust process control systems.
  • Managing daily workflow and production schedules.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and cycle time.
  • Process point of contact on tooling installs and qualifications to meet volume requirements.
  • Technology transfer activities from the Laser development team.

Requirements

  • Excellent communicator with strong presentation and technical writing skills.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor laser processing technologies with a strong understanding of fabrication interactions.
  • If you hold a BSc or MSc, this role does not meet the criteria set by the Home Office for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Visa route; therefore, visa sponsorship cannot be offered.
  • You must have full Right to Work Documentation to work in the UK.
  • If you hold a PhD, the role does meet the criteria, and visa sponsorship can be offered.
  • MSc, PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Optoelectronics, or Semiconductor Materials and Engineering or
  • BSc in the same (+ 1yr manufacturing or academic experience), or
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience with another qualification in an Engineering/Science related discipline.
