About the role
- Interview project stakeholders to become familiar with a product and its customers.
- Author documentation copy and collaborate with designers on illustrations and other images.
- Manage content reviews from stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Work with web services/creative services on document publication.
- Submit document revisions to source control.
- Acquire deep knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker, Madcap Flare, and web authoring as we establish a standard documentation process.
- Research the application of AI and SEO in technical authoring and knowledge consumption.
Requirements
- Demonstrated writing and editing skills with attention to clarity, concision, and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams with competing deadlines.
- Accepting of constructive feedback on work and deliverables.
- Coursework in technical writing, electrical engineering, or computer science.
- Current student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a relevant field, and returning to classes in Fall 2026.
- Familiarity with single source/multi-channel authoring apps, such as Madcap Flare or Adobe FrameMaker (optional).
- Experience with HTML/CSS (optional).
- Experience with creative applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator (optional).
- Video editing experience (optional).
