About the role

  • Interview project stakeholders to become familiar with a product and its customers.
  • Author documentation copy and collaborate with designers on illustrations and other images.
  • Manage content reviews from stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Work with web services/creative services on document publication.
  • Submit document revisions to source control.
  • Acquire deep knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker, Madcap Flare, and web authoring as we establish a standard documentation process.
  • Research the application of AI and SEO in technical authoring and knowledge consumption.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated writing and editing skills with attention to clarity, concision, and accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams with competing deadlines.
  • Accepting of constructive feedback on work and deliverables.
  • Coursework in technical writing, electrical engineering, or computer science.
  • Current student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a relevant field, and returning to classes in Fall 2026.
  • Familiarity with single source/multi-channel authoring apps, such as Madcap Flare or Adobe FrameMaker (optional).
  • Experience with HTML/CSS (optional).
  • Experience with creative applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator (optional).
  • Video editing experience (optional).
