About the role
- Develop positioning and messaging for GovPilot's solutions that speak directly to local government pain points
- Create sales enablement materials, including battlecards, one-pagers, success stories, and presentation decks
- Build competitive intelligence frameworks and displacement strategies against key competitors
- Lead go-to-market planning for new features and product launches
- Partner with sales to understand objections and refine talk tracks
- Develop buyer personas and journey maps specific to department heads, elected officials, and IT directors
- Plan and execute campaigns that generate qualified leads for the sales team
- Own content strategy for inbound marketing including blog posts, success stories, webinars, and videos
- Manage GovPilot's messaging at industry conferences and events
- Collaborate with sales development to optimize lead qualification and handoff
- Track and report on marketing-sourced pipeline and campaign performance
- Develop nurture sequences that move prospects through the consideration funnel
- Guide and develop the Associate Product Marketing Manager
- Delegate campaign execution and content production while maintaining quality standards
- Provide regular feedback and coaching to support professional growth
- Coordinate workload and priorities across product marketing initiatives
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of product marketing experience, with at least 3 years in B2B SaaS
- Proven track record of creating positioning and messaging that drives pipeline
- Experience with demand generation campaigns and marketing automation platforms
- Strong writing skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language
- Experience mentoring or managing junior marketing team members
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where you'll wear multiple hats
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
