About the role
- Lead or support projects through effective project management practices
- Develop and execute test plans, test procedures, and test fixtures; experience with LabVIEW is preferred
- Create technical documentation, including procedures, test specifications, and presentations, using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Operate within a production environment to support manufacturing, testing, and continuous improvement of products and processes
- Develop electronics system specifications and contribute to system level design activities
- Perform printed circuit board (PCB) design, analysis, and debugging
- Author and maintain test procedures to ensure product quality and compliance
- Provide technical support for manufacturing operations and field service activities
- Conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing in accordance with FCC and CE regulatory standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years experience of electrical engineering
- Proficient with a complicated schematic and PCB design consisting of one or more PCB’s
- Hands-on experience with FPGA development; VHDL and Xilinx toolchains preferred
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools; Cadstar preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of EMI/EMC design principles and safety agency compliance requirements
- Proficiency in C programming for embedded processors (TI DSP, Atmel AVR, ARM)
- Experience selecting components and communicating with vendors
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in an interdisciplinary group as a leader or a resource
