Complete timely and accurate processing of day-to-day transactions, such as accounts payable, accruals, schedules, expense reports, accounts receivable, job costing, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and others.
Prepare schedules and reports to support cash management, budgets, and account reconciliations and analysis.
Maintain and update supporting documentation, such as fixed assets schedules.
Assist with all aspects of accounting and the preparation of financial statements in accordance with generally accepting accounting principles (GAAP) in a multi-company environment.
Review financial data for accuracy; identify problems and support day-to-day operations.
Research and reconcile discrepancies and verify documents as prescribed by accounting procedures and policies.
Ad hoc assignments and special projects as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business field.
2-4 years of experience in accounting; this may include internships in accounting.
Previous experience in energy, construction, or real estate development will help you understand our typical reporting cycles.
High attention to detail and the ability to work proactively and productively in a team environment without direct supervision.
Demonstrated experience with key software systems:
Required: Working experience with accounting systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred: Intermediate proficiency with Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Table)
Optional: SQL experience.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience with writing, editing, or collaboration on operational procedures.
Ability to maintain information confidentiality and handle with discretion.
Demonstrated ability to work in a flat organization, successfully leveraging the expertise of multiple colleagues in different lines of reporting.
Experience using influence rather than authority to achieve desired outcomes.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
