Support and maintain the infrastructure, essential business applications, and endpoints that operate within our federal environment.
Perform system administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux-based systems across on-premises and cloud environments
Architect, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
Manage identity and access controls within Microsoft Entra, including configuration and enforcement of MFA and Conditional Access policies
Oversee Azure Subscription governance, including role assignments, resource tagging, policy enforcement, and cost management practices
Manage secure and compliant network architectures in both Azure and AWS, including virtual networks/VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls (Azure Firewall, AWS Network Firewall), VPNs, private link/endpoints, and security groups, ensuring alignment with FedRAMP security controls
Deploy, configure and manage applications and security baselines using Microsoft Intune for physical and virtual endpoints
Provision, configure, and manage Linux VMs and containers in Azure and AWS, including patching, monitoring, and secure access configuration
Design, implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and configure IT system implementations including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and storage arrays
Execute and successfully complete projects and evaluate new technologies/platforms to determine their applicability to solving ScienceLogic’s business challenges and needs
Analyze existing systems and infrastructure lifecycle to determine industry-forward best practices for upgrades or replacements best suited for business needs
Work with internal teams on the planning and configuration of new business solutions requiring IT oversight, integration or management
Provide after-hours and weekend support as needed to ensure the continuous availability and operational integrity of all critical systems, network devices, and services 24/7/365
Assist the service desk team as needed, acting as an escalation point and developing processes, procedures, and policies to facilitate effective knowledge transfer and team collaboration
Perform daily system monitoring tasks to verify the integrity and availability of systems, hardware, and scheduled operations such as backups and alerting
Ensure all Federal systems and processes meet FedRAMP Moderate requirements
Participate in the writing and review of necessary FedRAMP Moderate process and policy documentation for compliance
Support system operations in a FedRAMP Moderate environment by ensuring changes, patches, and configurations are aligned with FedRAMP Moderate requirements and are tested and applied by required deadlines
Work with security and compliance teams to support continuous monitoring activities, including asset inventory, application updates, and system patches
Administer and maintain Windows 365 Cloud PCs (VDI), including policy management and end-user support
Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs / CIS Controls across federal systems and endpoints, performing quarterly reviews and remediations for both Windows and LInux workloads
Perform all activities in accordance with established change management and approval procedures
Requirements
BS in Computer Science, or similar fields. Education requirement can be substituted with demonstrated commensurate experience
5+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or cloud engineering
Must be a U.S. citizen and capable of obtaining Public Trust clearance
Working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, CMMC, or FISMA, and how they relate to system operations
Knowledge of OS patching strategies
Experience with identity and access management (IAM) solutions for Azure and AWS
Scripting experience with tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible to automate administrative tasks and configuration management
Experience with server and networking datacenter infrastructure
Firm understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
Motivated learner, able to quickly learn new technologies and keep skills current with emerging technologies
Demonstrate efficient and effective use of problem-solving, project management and task prioritization
Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and apply IT best practices in a secure, compliance-driven environment
