About the role

  • As the Business Development Manager for the East region, you identify new business opportunities.
  • You further develop existing partnerships and actively drive our growth.
  • You proactively approach prospective new customers, focusing on our Ideal Customer Profile.
  • You independently plan and conduct customer meetings, presentations and negotiations.
  • You monitor the market, competitors and relevant trends, deriving smart sales initiatives.
  • For rate requests, quotes and tenders you work closely with our product and pricing teams.
  • You manage RFQs from A to Z – including preparation, follow-up and close coordination with Operations.
  • You systematically track proposals and analyze post-mortems to continuously improve.
  • You ensure clear communication between Sales, Product & Operations.

Requirements

  • You have several years of experience in field sales or business development – ideally in sea and air freight logistics.
  • You understand the needs of SME customers – and how to delight and retain them long-term.
  • Pricing, tender management and structured sales processes are not foreign concepts to you, but part of your craft.
  • You know how to build, maintain and develop stable customer relationships – with strategic vision and operational drive.
  • Pipeline and funnel management? For you, of course – data-driven, focused and with clear goal tracking.
  • Ideally, you know southwestern Germany like the back of your hand – from market structures to regional specifics.
  • You communicate confidently in German, are business-fluent in English – and Spanish skills are a plus.
  • MS Office is standard for you; TMS systems are preferably also familiar to you.
  • You are a team player with a sense of responsibility, strong communication skills and a hands-on mentality.
  • You think quickly, work in a structured way and tackle challenges with a clear “let’s do it” attitude.
  • Even in complex situations you remain solution-oriented, composed – and focused on the goal.
