About the role
- Assist the Associate Editorial Director and work closely with other members of the Editorial, Creative, and Marketing teams on the day-to-day reviewing and editing of all materials across SRE.
- Oversee the SRE Style Guide and ensure its continuing maintenance with updates as needed.
- Help with the management and implementation of copy content tools and processes cross-functionally.
- Stay up-to-date on book industry news and trends.
- Actively seek out and share references, inspiration, and data points for creative approaches relevant to our brand.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Advertising/Marketing, Journalism, English or related Writing degree
- 2+ years' experience copy editing and proofreading in media, agency, and/or branded content environments
- Strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style rules
- Solid knowledge of marketing language and the nuances of writing voice for various audiences
- Working knowledge of Microsoft-based software: Teams, Outlook, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and G Suite
