Copywriter

• Assist the Associate Editorial Director and work closely with other members of the Editorial, Creative, and Marketing teams on the day-to-day reviewing and editing of all materials across SRE.
• Oversee the SRE Style Guide and ensure its continuing maintenance with updates as needed.
• Help with the management and implementation of copy content tools and processes cross-functionally.
• Stay up-to-date on book industry news and trends.
• Actively seek out and share references, inspiration, and data points for creative approaches relevant to our brand.

Procurement

• Lead the development and management of high-volume non-book product categories for Scholastic Reading Events’ customer profit redemption businesses.
• Develop and execute category strategies and curate assortments for the Book Fairs Scholastic Dollars Catalog and the Book Clubs Classroom Collection.
• Review, evaluate, select, develop, and acquire compelling, relevant, and high-performing products each season.
• Analyze sales performance, inventory sell-through, and market research to refine product selection and identify new category and growth opportunities.
• Negotiate product costs and vendor marketing support; act as primary point of contact for vendor partners.
