About the role
- Design, implement, and optimize operational workflows for the Workers' Compensation division
- Support and manage operational teams, including training and performance management
- Develop and track KPIs to measure operational excellence and program performance
- Build efficient processes and systems to support the scalable growth of the WC program
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Network Operations, and Growth teams to ensure seamless execution
- Assess and support network strategy as it ties into operational utilization and state-specific requirements
- Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to drive operational efficiency
- Manage relationships with suppliers, providers, and key stakeholders in the WC ecosystem
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and Workers' Compensation requirements
- Create and maintain operational documentation, playbooks, and training materials
Requirements
- Experience building and scaling operational programs, workflows, or teams in healthcare, workers' compensation, insurance, or adjacent industries
- Strong program management skills with a track record of delivering complex initiatives from concept to execution
- Deep understanding of operational excellence principles, including process optimization, performance management, and continuous improvement
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- Data-driven mindset with experience in establishing and tracking operational metrics and KPIs
- Excellent problem-solving skills and comfort navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience with Workers Compensation processes, state regulations, or healthcare operations (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex operational concepts into clear documentation and training materials
- Bias toward action and ownership, with a hands-on approach to getting things done
- Passion for improving healthcare access and outcomes for patients
