About the role

  • Improve Scalable's cloud infrastructure and automation using tools such as AWS, Terraform, and general-purpose languages like Python or Go
  • Design, maintain, and operate multiple cloud networks on AWS, providing a secure and highly available infrastructure for internal development teams
  • Maintain financial middleware systems, ensuring high-availability connectivity for critical applications and partner integrations
  • Deliver core network services at scale and maintain highly available connections to external partners
  • Design and maintain reusable infrastructure components and provide support to development teams
  • Support, guide and empower engineering teams to strengthen DevOps culture
  • Leverage serverless technologies (Fargate, Lambda) and a multi-account AWS strategy

Requirements

  • Multiple years of hands-on experience with core AWS services, including EC2, VPC, Transit Gateway, Private Link, Route 53, CloudFront and ELB
  • Proficient and experienced with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
  • Proficient in at least one general-purpose programming language like Python or Go
  • Preferably experience with Network Firewall, WAF, Site-to-Site VPN, Client VPN, Direct Connect, ECS / Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, and S3
  • A passion for automating and improving processes while keeping security and reliability in mind
  • Nice to have: Experience in managing VPNs and/or Leased Lines, low level network debugging (tcpdump), and Cisco IOS XE (IPsec and GRE)
  • A degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely in an international English-speaking environment
