About the role
- Convert datasets, dashboards, and analytical outputs from the Data COE into clear, compelling, and insight-led narratives
- Develop structured long-form content such as ecosystem reports, thematic briefs, leadership notes, and strategic documents
- Shape the narrative direction for CSR COE themes—multi-vector CSR, geography shifts, business–need alignment, evolution of implementing partners, innovation funding, etc.
- Ensure writing is rigorous, editorially strong, grounded in data, and aligned with Sattva’s voice
- Work closely with the marketing team to execute external publication content with IDI data
- Draft content for external channels: op-eds, columns, and articles for media PR narratives, thought pieces, and interviews ecosystem newsletters, whitepapers, and insights
- Develop scripts and talking points for leadership engagements, podcasts, roundtables, and panels
- Create high-quality, publication-ready content with strong impact vocabulary and narrative flow
- Read, interpret, and distill complex secondary data into simple, high-signal insights
- Synthesize data trends into storyline frameworks for reports and visual assets
- Work closely with the Data COE to ensure accuracy, nuance, and contextual clarity
- Translate quantitative findings into qualitative implications for CSR, philanthropy, and the development ecosystem
- Collaborate with IDI analysts, CSR COE leads, design team, and marketing/PR teams to produce polished, high-impact outputs
- Manage content workflows across multiple stakeholders and timelines
- Support internal and external reviews to ensure narrative coherence and editorial quality
- Ensure every output adheres to high standards of grammar, structure, logic, and flow
- Maintain consistency in tone, terminology, and insight integrity across all deliverables
- Conduct final editorial checks for accuracy, clarity, and impact
Requirements
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in English, Journalism, Public Policy, Economics, Development Studies, Communications, or related fields
- 3–5 years of experience in writing for media outlets, public platforms, policy publications, or thought leadership
- Demonstrated ability to write compelling, structured, and insight-led content
- Strong proficiency in interpreting data, identifying trends, and making analytical arguments
- Ability to convert complex information into accessible, narrative-driven writing
- Excellent command over written English, with strong grammar, clarity, and vocabulary
- Passion for writing—prefers writing-heavy roles and enjoys long-form content creation
