About the role
- We are looking for a Social Media Manager and Content Creator to build our brand on Instagram and TikTok and grow a strong community.
- Build Instagram & TikTok: develop content strategy and posting plan. You will expand our channels and help them take off.
- Produce Reels & short videos: you will shoot, edit and post Reels that genuinely resonate with parents.
- Execute content pillars: everyday family adventures with ouchie, first-aid tips ("Did you know?"), unboxings, behind-the-scenes, seasonal topics.
- Build community: reply to comments, manage DMs, and have real conversations. Engagement > follower count.
- Influencer outreach: contact mom bloggers, midwives, and outdoor-family creators to set up collaborations.
- Coordinate UGC: encourage customers to share their ouchie moments. Curate and repost user-generated content.
Requirements
- Must-haves: You are a mom or dad or regularly spend time with children.
- You know the playground panic, the search for a plaster, and the chaos of family adventures.
- You can shoot Reels in your sleep.
- You know what works on Instagram and TikTok—not just in theory but because you do it yourself.
- You have a good eye for aesthetics without it looking staged.
- Authentic is better than perfect.
- You can produce smartphone content that looks professional (editing with CapCut, InShot or similar).
- You speak German at native level and write copy that feels like a real conversation, not advertising.
- You are reliable, independent, and don’t need micromanagement.
- Nice-to-haves: Optional: You run a small Instagram/TikTok account yourself (even <5K followers is completely fine).
- Optional: Experience with influencer collaborations or brand content.
- Optional: Familiarity with Canva, Later/Planoly or similar tools.
- Optional: Based in Munich or the surrounding area (for occasional joint content shoots, not required).
- Optional: A medical background, e.g., paramedic, doctor, or similar.
Benefits
- Flexibility: Freelance or part-time, 15–32 hours/week, flexible scheduling.
- Real impact: Not just "post something pretty"—you will help build a community. Your ideas matter.
- Fair compensation: Depending on experience, plus performance-based bonuses for reached milestones.
- Product perks: You’ll receive all ouchie products for free—for you, your kids, or to give as gifts.
- Growth potential: As ouchie grows (and it will), your role can grow with it. Long-term, if you want, this could become a permanent position—from Head of Marketing up to co‑founder/CEO-level opportunities.
- Startup spirit: Short decision paths, fast decisions, no corporate bureaucracy.
