About the role
- Responsible for managing the existing Civil Government book of business, including contract management, renewals, activations and upgrades
- Undertake regular customer account reviews and upsell where possible
- Support the Sales Director with new opportunities, including quote generation and back-office support, where applicable
- Manage the pipeline and CRM database for the allocated area
- Partner with various internal groups (e.g., Engineering, pricing, marketing) when developing new proposals and commercial offers
- Work autonomously with minimal supervision (post initial onboarding training and familiarisation period) while maintaining good communication with the wider team
- Maintain CRM and provide regular and accurate opportunity and pipeline status’
Requirements
- 7-12 years of account management experience in a related field (e.g. Aerospace, Defense, Satellite, or Aviation)
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- High quality proposal writing and commercial acumen
- Demonstrates strong entrepreneurial behaviours
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, skills
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and customer service skills
- Prior experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
- Prior experience in military or commercial satellite communications (SATCOM)
- Ability to learn quickly and make effective decisions
- Meet tight time constraints and deadlines
