About the role
- Lead and manage the inventory planning team, providing strategic direction and day-to-day guidance
- Further lead global inventory optimization initiatives and provide visibility of target inventory achievement
- Take full responsibility achieving inventory targets
- Develop and implement inventory planning strategies to optimize stock levels across multiple locations and product categories like components and (semi) finished products
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in inventory management processes and systems
- Improve and implement global inventory policies (e.g. shelf-life handling and scrapping)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with demand planning, procurement, sales, finance, operations teams and IT to ensure alignment of supply and demand
- Ensure efficient use of ERP and planning tools to support accurate data analysis and decision-making
- Identify and mitigate inventory risks and develop contingency plan
Requirements
- A successfully completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field
- Several years of experience in inventory planning, Supply Chain Management, or Controlling | Finance
- Confident leader with a global mind, an open, collaborative style, able to inspire and unite physical and remote teams into a cohesive, high-performing group
- Building strong cross-functional relationships to align inventory strategies with business goals, influencing and negotiating to drive consensus and deliver results
- Communicates clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels, fostering transparency and trust
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset and high numerical affinity
- Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Celonis)
- Business fluent in English, German or French will be a plus
- Willingness to travel globally (max. 20%)
