About the role
- Achieve or exceed revenue, growth and strategic field targets (trials, demos, samples, opportunities, etc) for the area of responsibility.
- Proactively identify and drive commercial initiatives in support of the targets.
- Acquire new and expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet Customer’s needs and Sartorius’s strategy.
- Manage the short- and long-term opportunity funnel & sales process for your area of responsibility: lead identification, strategic evaluation, selling cycle, resulting business impact and best commercial-technical solution
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, most notably Account Management and Technical Support teams
- Lead & opportunity generation: Conduct research and actively identify potential leads, e.g. through target customer lists, and convert leads into opportunities, as well as executing/initiating test/demos/URS analysis/trials/technical closure at customer
- Seeding strategy development & implementation: Develop seeding strategies, campaigns, approaches, pilots and drives implementation/product adoption
- Tracking and reporting: Continuously monitor and track the progress of seeding activities and technical product performance
Requirements
- Masters in life sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in purification of biosimilars/recombinant protein chromatography process development at lab scale or hands-on experience in chromatography processes at pilot/manufacturing scale, familiar with column packing techniques.
- Working in sales development or application development with chromatography equipment suppliers is an added advantage.
- Field sales experience or chromatography process development experience, preferably with laboratory/process-based experience in life sciences.
- Knowledge on downstream process intensification and hands on experience is advantage.
- Experience in selling chromatography instrumentation and / or selling chromatography consumables to clients in different sectors is a plus
- Result-oriented and highly motivated
- Capable of providing outstanding pre and post application support to customers.
- Ability to manage complex issues using innovation and processes
- Excellent communication skills.
