About the role

  • Manage and grow sales to existing customers across Central and Western United States with a target of over $6 million annually
  • Develop new business opportunities to expand current account base
  • Responsible for all sales results of mid-size and large accounts in a defined territory and for developing strong customer relations according to organizational strategy
  • Actively use SFDC to manage sales activities and customer interactions; analyze SFDC data for trends and insights
  • Drive newly launched products and services into marketplace and follow up on sales activity implementation
  • Assess customer needs, generate leads, respond to inquiries, suggest products and services, and develop account plans
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, coordinate marketing activities, and build long-term customer relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in life sciences, engineering, or related field (higher level of education would be beneficial)
  • 3+ years field sales experience, ideally within bioprocessing solutions
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and close opportunities through strategic outreach, cold prospecting, and fearless engagement with decision-makers in competitive markets.
  • Hands-on knowledge and proactive usage of SFDC and other CRM tools
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, energetic, results oriented, capacity to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Good teamwork skills and proven ability to also work with cross-functional teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently
  • Proven software skills, e.g. Microsoft Office
