Manage and grow sales to existing customers across Central and Western United States with a target of over $6 million annually
Develop new business opportunities to expand current account base
Responsible for all sales results of mid-size and large accounts in a defined territory and for developing strong customer relations according to organizational strategy
Actively use SFDC to manage sales activities and customer interactions; analyze SFDC data for trends and insights
Drive newly launched products and services into marketplace and follow up on sales activity implementation
Assess customer needs, generate leads, respond to inquiries, suggest products and services, and develop account plans
Work closely with cross-functional teams, coordinate marketing activities, and build long-term customer relationships
Requirements
Bachelors degree in life sciences, engineering, or related field (higher level of education would be beneficial)
3+ years field sales experience, ideally within bioprocessing solutions
Proactively identify, pursue, and close opportunities through strategic outreach, cold prospecting, and fearless engagement with decision-makers in competitive markets.
Hands-on knowledge and proactive usage of SFDC and other CRM tools
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, energetic, results oriented, capacity to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility
Good teamwork skills and proven ability to also work with cross-functional teams
Willingness and ability to travel frequently
Proven software skills, e.g. Microsoft Office
