Orchestrate and coordinate local operating (key) account teams to ensure aligned customer strategy and actions
Continuously develop the assigned key account on a global level in line with Sartorius business objectives and customer needs and act as one of the main point of contact for the customer to ensure and manage a strong customer relationship for long term partnership
Promote the organization's products and services within the defined key account globally to achieve sales and revenue targets
Identify new business opportunities aligned with the organization's overall market and growth strategy
Actively use SFDC to manage and document leads and opportunities, all customer interactions and sales activities ensuring that all customer and opportunity information is up-to-date and accurately entered in the CRM system
Analyze SFDC data for assigned customers to identify trends, generate customer insights and track sales performance
Actively drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace and proactively follow up on the successful implementation of sales activity
Assess and analyze needs of the key account, generate leads, respond to customer inquiries, and suggest products and services as appropriate in close collaboration with cross functional team to create higher market perception and successful strategies to develop and gain business from the key account
Frequently assess the potential for the defined key account and realize it into business by developing and implementing a valid account plan, request, and coordinate resources in line with the account plan
Coordinate and participate in demand-generating activities in assigned territory
Requirements
Bachelors degree in life sciences, engineering or related field (higher level of education would be beneficial)
Minimum 7 years field sales experience, ideally with a background in data analytics sales and/or laboratory or process-based roles within the Life Science industry.
Minimum 7 years' experience handling large size and/or Major/Key accounts in pharmaceutical industry
Hands-on knowledge and proactive usage of SFDC and other CRM tools
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, energetic, results oriented, capacity to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility
Good teamwork skills and proven ability to also work with cross-functional teams
Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically, and internationally
